Andrew is a Researcher at Asia Care Group, supporting the team on the assessment of innovative technologies to increase the transparency and affordability of private healthcare in Hong Kong. He graduated with a Master of Science from the University of Toronto, specializing in Neuroscience and Pharmacology. His passion lies in improving the value and accessibility of healthcare.
Prior to joining ACG, Andrew had had 4 years of experience in pharmaceutical R&D and data analysis gained through translational and clinical research. As a graduate student, he undertook several studies – in collaboration with blue chip pharmaceuticals and startups – to identify and validate alternative pharmacological interventions in the treatment for schizophrenia and epilepsy. His work has been presented at multiple international conferences and patient education forums.
During his studies at the University of Toronto, Andrew led a campus organization that provided concussion education to school-age children in underprivileged communities. A mental health advocate, he also spearheaded the development of an educational program to help overcome misinformation and stigma around mental illnesses in the province.
