Emma is a Senior Managing Consultant at Asia Care Group, where she works closely with clients to achieve their goals within the healthcare sector. Drawing on over ten years' experience in both healthcare and policy, Emma combines unique insights based on evidence-based analysis and strong commercial understanding.
Prior to joining Asia Care Group, Emma was a Senior Business Development Manager at Aetna International, the international arm of the US-based insurer. In this role, Emma worked closely with clients, end-users and brokers to achieve Aetna's financial targets and support the company's growth in the region, quickly becoming the top performer in Asia. In this role, Emma developed a strong understanding of the health insurance market in Asia, as well as the challenges and market gaps experienced by key population segments in the region. In this role, Emma actively participated in the research, design and launch of Aetna's individual and group local market propositions, working closely with key leaders across the organization and with external stakeholders to ensure the organization achieved its goal of sustainable growth within Hong Kong and Asia.
Originally from Canada, Emma completed her Masters in Public and International Affairs at the University of Ottawa before beginning her career as a policy analyst within Canada's Federal Government. Rotating across a number of key departments, Emma honed her skills in quantitative and qualitative research and analysis, communication, and advisory. She later specialized in healthcare policy at Cancer Care Ontario, focusing on generating system-wide improvements to the funding, delivery and outcomes of chronic kidney disease care.
