From January to March 2018, Asia Care Group conducted a study of the aged care market in Hong Kong. A comprehensive market assessment was performed, drawing upon publicly available data, government legislation, and Asia Care Group’s past work and findings across the health and social sector. Select international markets were chosen for the construction of case studies that highlight emerging innovations across the major stages of ageing. The culmination of this study and its findings are presented in Unsettling Times: Moving Towards Quality Aged Care in Hong Kong. Through this publication, Asia Care Group strive to share the most salient findings and recommendations with the stakeholders and community partners who will ultimately shape the future of aged care for Hong Kong’s citizens.
From June to October, Asia Care Group undertook a study to assess why digital healthcare hasn't developed as quickly as might be expected in Asia. The team looked at the maturity of each market, the underpinning dynamics and the views customers and patients have of digital services in order to assess the issue. This summary deck highlights some of the team's findings for HK and was shared at the British Chamber and British Consulate Symposium on Digital Healthcare in October 2018.
